A Cute Surprise

Image
Yesterday morning Mom discovered two big bags on our doorstep in the carport. In these bags were potatoes and green beans. I'm not talking little bags, I 'm talking big bags. They were filled to the top. Now the green beans were whole beans. Whole beans need to be snapped. It's a pretty easy process, but you can follow the instructions below:   Wash Them (duh!) With garden grown vegetables you need to make sure you clean them thoroughly. We had a previous experience where there were bugs crawling all over a bag of veggies we received. (It makes me itch all over. I seriously scratched my head!)       2. Snap 'em This is the good old fashioned part. All you do is snap off both ends. Then you just break them in half. After that cook them and enjoy. Simple as that. (Green beans are my absolute favorite veggie ever!)

The Cutest Thing

Oh my word! I found this picture of Annabeth (check her out here ) and wanted to share it with you. Isn't she the cutest thing ever! (hence my title)

The Joy of Candles

This is kind of strange, but I love candles. Here are the to "3" reasons why I like candles. 1. The Smell is Heavenly! When you light a candle you wait for the smell to catch up with you. After it does the aroma is breathtaking. As it begins wafting you get this warm and wonderful sensation around you. Try this candle: Chesapeake Bay Candle, "Blueberry and Pumpkin" (I love this candle! It smells just like blueberries!) 2. It Relaxes You Lighting a candle really improves my school day. Usually just about every day I end up lighting the candle I just mentioned. The whole scent calms me down and helps me attack school in a clear, focused way. Future Reference: A vanilla candle would make a great gift.  3. Brightens My World Candles not only make me calm, they make me happy. They seriously are an energy booster. We have this candle called "Cranapple Cider" that really makes me perky. Whenever I light it I get this burst of smell that makes me...

Experience of a Lifetime

Guess what I got to do yesterday? I got to hold the sweetest thing ever, Colton Samuel Lehr. (I told you about his shower in a previous  post .) The youth group was playing musical chairs , and I got out. I was just watching when Miss Amanda called me over. She wanted me to hold him while she needed to do something. Oh my word! He was the tiniest thing! Just two days old and I got an amazing opportunity! So grateful!

Where I'm At

Okay, this is kind of a weird post, but I feel that it's necessary. I'm sort of in a "writer's block" right now. I don't really know what to blog about any more, so I end up writing about little every day things. I know becoming a good blogger takes time, because even impressive bloggers (like  this one ) started off small. I don't want to catch myself copying other bloggers either. Thank you for letting me complain about this. Any suggestions let me know.

Recital

May 7 was me and Kaylie's dance performance. It actually went really well. The rehearsal the day before was a bit sloppy. I messed up on all 3 of my dances, but it came through okay. My favorite part was being backstage in my dressing room (Well, actually ours . It was share by all the level 3's.) and in the wings. It was super fun. My favorite dance to watch was a dance choreographed by five girls from level 4/5. An amazing dance to the song "You Make me Brave" by Bethel . (Check out the song sometime. It's gorgeous !) A stunning performance! Can't wait for Christmas!
